LeadingAge Kentucky offers select state-sponsored training opportunities at no cost to eligible Certified Nursing Facilities (CNFs). Availability, eligibility, and participation limits vary by program.
Ongoing/ On-Demand Opportunities
Activities Director Leadership Academy
Overview: Provides the LeadingAge Kentucky Activity Director Certification course to one (1)staff member per CNF per year, for three years.
Online and in-person options may be available; in-person seating is limited.
Eligibility/Notes: CNFs only; participation limits apply.

Wound Care Certification
Overview: CNFs can enroll up to four (4) direct care staff (CNA/LPN) each year, for three years, in an online Skin & Wound Care Certification course at no charge.

Nursing Mentorship Training
Overview: Enhances workforce stability in CNFs by training mentors for new nursing staff to support confidence, skills, onboarding, retention, and outcomes. Training is provided online.

Overview: Online training for Nursing Home Administrators and HR professionals on strategies to attract and retain staff. Access is available to one (1) staff member per CNF per year, for three years.
